The Senior Brand Strategy Manager is a hands-on brand strategist responsible for leading and delivering brand strategy across defined Microsoft and Copilot initiatives, audiences, or product areas. This role connects culture, consumers, and product through clear, insight-driven strategy, ensuring brand intent translates into real decisions across campaigns, product experiences, and go-to-market efforts. You will partner closely with Product Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Microsoft AI (MAI), Media, Engineering, Campaigns, Research, and Brand teams to drive clarity, alignment, and momentum. The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor who can independently lead complex workstreams, influence cross‑functional partners, and contribute to the quality and consistency of brand thinking across the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead brand strategy for defined Microsoft and Copilot initiatives, audiences, or product areas
  • Translate enterprise brand direction into actionable strategies that guide campaigns, launches, and experiences
  • Partner closely with the GM of Brand Strategy to ensure high-level brand strategy and storytelling are reflected consistently in assigned workstreams
  • Contribute to the evolution of Microsoft and Copilot brand thinking through insights, frameworks, and strategic points of view
  • Lead brand and campaign strategy development for specific go to market efforts
  • Author strategic and creative briefs for internal teams and agency partners
  • Guide teams in connecting human needs, product value propositions, and storytelling platforms
  • Ensure brand strategy is carried through from early concept to in-market execution
  • Serve as a trusted brand strategy partner to cross-functional teams within assigned scope
  • Collaborate with Research & Insights to ground strategy in data, segmentation, and audience understanding
  • Influence product and go to market decisions by bringing a strong, clear brand point of view to the table
  • Use brand performance, perception, and testing data to evaluate and refine strategy

Requirements:

  • 6+ years’ work experience at a branding agency or with product marketing, brand building, and/or strategy development OR equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years’ creative strategy experience, which could include brief writing and/or managing strategy on the corporate or agency side.
  • 6+ years’ experience managing projects (e.g., internal stakeholder management, timelines, prioritization, road mapping).
