Job Description:

Leading our brand creative team, the Senior Brand Creative is a conceptual writer who turns insights into beautifully crafted campaigns. You’ll think concept-first, write with precision, and adapt tone and storytelling across platforms… from social campaigns to brand films, retail, CRM, and beyond. Central to the role is shaping and championing our brand voice with a balance of creativity and strategy, to craft stories that connect emotionally with audiences while driving meaningful business results.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the Brand Creative team within our in-house agency including art directors
  • Foster a high-performing team culture with performance management, goal setting, training, coaching, regular feedback and overseeing day-to-day tasks
  • Organisational planning, and overseeing the recruitment and onboarding of new team members to ensure Brand Creative is resourced for current and future needs
  • Mentor junior creatives and interns, overseeing freelancers and collaborating with external agencies
  • Strategic input for campaign briefs including proposition, key messaging and setting the overarching campaign direction
  • Brainstorm 360° campaign concepts and partner with Art Directors and external agencies to develop product-led marketing campaigns and brand initiatives
  • Hands-on copywriting in English (and German or Dutch) for campaign narratives, scripts for video and TV, headlines, and copy across a wide range of channels including paid media, digital, social, loyalty program, in-store, and webshop
  • Present concepts and copy to internal teams and stakeholders with clarity and confidence
  • Understand platform limitations, character counts, and the need for brevity across digital channels
  • Ensure copy is concise, effective, and translatable for global markets and cultures
  • Oversee trans-creation into European languages as appropriate, and building a glossary of phrases and terminology for consistency
  • Maintain and evolve the brand’s tone of voice, ensuring consistency and quality across all consumer-facing communication
  • Develop style for internal voice
  • Review and edit copy written by external agencies and across the wider business, to maintain voice, consistency, and creative integrity
  • Point of contact for copy-related questions and feedback
  • Own assigned projects end-to-end from concept development to final delivery
  • Oversee language translations and approvals process
  • Set-up templates and maintain master copy documents, scripts, and version control
  • Ensure conceptual work and art direction is reviewed with Creative Brand Director and feedback is actioned prior to sharing with stakeholders
  • Stay ahead of trends in culture, creativity, and technology to help keep our work fresh, relevant, and differentiated incl training of AI tools to understand and apply our brand voice

Requirements:

  • Native-level English writing skills
  • Degree in journalism, copywriting, advertising, communications or equivalent professional experience
  • 8+ years of experience as a copywriter in an agency or in-house brand team
  • A folio of work that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking, campaign development, and multi-channel execution, preferably with apparel, fashion, beauty or lifestyle brands
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with art directors, marketing and product teams
  • Mastery of tone of voice with the agility to shift tone depending on channel, audience, and objective
  • Deep understanding of digital, ecom and social platforms, writing content that performs
  • Familiarity with sustainability language and legalities
  • Excellent presentation skills to craft and 'sell' ideas
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to juggle multiple projects
  • Hybrid working, minimum 3 days per week in the office based in Hilversum, Netherlands

Nice to have:

German and/or Dutch languages are highly desirable
