Job Responsibility

  • Managing bookkeeping engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records
  • Maintaining general ledgers, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, and preparing year-end work papers for tax return preparation
  • Collaborating closely with firm leadership and tax professionals to support client advisory services
  • Providing guidance to junior bookkeeping staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Associate’s degree with significant experience will be considered)
  • Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) designation preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a CPA or public accounting firm
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) required
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and payroll/tax compliance
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to analyze reports, reconcile data to accounting records, and resolve discrepancies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
  • Strong client service and relationship management skills
