ZGF is seeking a talented and motivated Senior BIM Coordinator to support our teams in our Portland, OR office. Here, each day we ideate, collaborate, and create, supported by a culturally diverse group of architectural professionals and in-house leading-edge technology including digital fabrication, virtual design and realization, and physical modeling. Our Portland team thrives on multidisciplinary engagement, practicing at the intersection of architecture and urban design, and is distinguished by its creative and intellectual curiosity. Reporting to the Architecture department and working closely with the firm-wide Design Technology team, you will serve as a BIM resource in the ZGF Portland office, supporting project teams from kick-off to closeout. You will ensure model preparations and audits are completed before sharing externally with project partners.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as an expert resource and mentor, helping staff resolve problems arising from the use of Revit on design projects
Monitor project Revit models for issues related to quality and team efficiency
Create and manage specialized content as needed for multiple project types
Direct teams in the use of firm BIM and Design Technology standards, project organization, and best practices
Support the Design Technology Manager in implementing office-wide design software strategies and staff training
Help ensure proper coordination of design deliverables, including exporting IFC/NWC/CAD/PDF files, COBie data, and schedules
Requirements:
5+ years of experience using Revit and managing design software on large, complex, multi-phase projects and teams
A bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field
Proven experience self-managing workload and the ability to contribute to multiple projects concurrently
Possess the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and succinctly, both orally and in writing
Be an effective collaborator and contributor to a geographically dispersed technology team
Be experienced with Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360) project management
Possess the appropriate soft skills necessary for working with design professionals in a fast-paced studio environment
