Senior Big Data Engineer

• Build Data Engineering pipelines with Big Data Hadoop Tech Stack and other Data Engineering technology like Snowflake, Databricks
• Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flows
• Coordinates and contribute to the objectives of Data Engineering initiatives and overall business
• Significantly influences decisions, work, and performance of all teams through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services
• Conducts strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications and make strategic recommendations, develops data displays
• Mines and analyzes data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality
• Delivers analytics initiatives to address business problems
• Consults with business clients to identify system functional specifications
• Consults with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems
• Leads system change process from requirements through implementation
• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects
• Impacts the business directly by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others
• Considers the business implications of the application of technology
• Drives communication between business leaders and IT
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made

• 5+ years experience working in Hadoop ecosystem with solid knowledge of Pyspark, Python etc.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, AWS and Databricks is a plus
• Ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem solving techniques
• Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
