Job Description:

Intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Job Responsibility:

Participation in establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs
Applications systems analysis and programming activities
Data curation/conformance related work

Requirements:

Strong solid understanding of Big Data architecture
Ability to troubleshoot performance and/or development issues on Hadoop (Cloudera preferably)
Hands-on experience with Hive, Impala, Hbase, Kudu Spark for data curation/conformance
Strong proficiency in Spark for development work
Strong Scala developer (with previous Java background)
Experience with Spark/Storm/Kafka or equivalent streaming/batch processing
Strong data analysis skills
Experience working in an agile environment
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Strong Communication skills
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

Python
Cloudera/Hortonworks/AWS EMR experience
Couchbase experience
S3 experience
Experience with AWS or GCP tech stack components
Relational and NoSQL database integration experience
API development experience
JSON/XML/Hypermedia data formats experience
