Job Description:

Senior Software Engineer (Big Data Developer) role at Wells Fargo focusing on collaboration and career growth in a supportive environment. The position involves leading technical initiatives, designing and implementing solutions, and working with big data technologies.

Job Responsibility:

Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain
Review moderately complex technical challenges
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers
Lead projects and act as an escalation point
Provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Work with business partners to breakdown requirements
Manage technology delivery
Educate the business on technology options
Lead enterprise level initiatives

Requirements:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience
4+ years IT industry experience with all phases of SDLC
4+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
4+ years of experience as a professional software engineer
4+ years of experience in Spark application development and implementation
Strong technical knowledge in Spark
Knowledge of Hadoop Ecosystem and Big data technologies like Hive, Kafka, Hbase, NIFI
Data processing framework such as Spark
Data modeling, normalization, processing with Spark and SQL
Spark performance tuning knowledge
Excellent knowledge of OOPS concepts
Familiarity in using Java
Experience using version control tools like GIT
CI/CD process and build tools like Gradle and Maven
Strong knowledge of Database concepts
UNIX bash scripting
Knowledge of JOB schedulers like Autosys
Knowledge of docker images, containers, and container management framework like Kubernetes
Experience working with onsite/offshore teams
Experience with messaging services like JMS/Kafka

Nice to have:

Knowledge with JOB schedulers like Autosys
Knowledge of docker images, containers, and container management framework like Kubernetes
Experience with messaging services like JMS/Kafka
Experience working in Control Room Surveillance, Trade Surveillance or Compliance Risk, or Financial Services domain
