Job Responsibility

  • Support and lead the bid and pursuit process for Ashurst Advance, Ashurst Risk Advisory, Technology Industry, and/or Digital Economy-focused bids to ensure best practice responses are developed for individual client requirements
  • Manage the end-to-end process for strategic bids and pursuits from qualification to submissions, presentations and aftercare, including content management
  • Work with fee-earners and CMG colleagues to define the pursuit strategy with clear win themes for strategic opportunities
  • Support pursuit-specific client research, stakeholder briefings and reports on major and complex opportunities
  • Lead the writing, reviewing, proof reading and amendment support to drafted content, for improved internal compliance

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in a pursuit and bid role in legal, professional services, or other relevant environments with a proven track record of winning strategic bids. Candidates with bids experience in accounting and/or consulting firms are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Experience of proposal writing and collaborating with SME stakeholders and other teams to deliver against pursuit requirements
  • A keen interest and passion for NewLaw / Alternative Legal Services (ALS), Risk Consulting, the Technology Industry, and/or Digital Economy service lines and focus areas. Whilst previous experience in these areas is not necessary, candidates should demonstrate a desire to learn and upskill in these knowledge domains
  • Experience supporting bid teams throughout the bid lifecycle, including kick-off and client-facing meetings, presentations, commercial negotiations, and post-bid debriefs
  • Strong work-winning process knowledge, writing and project management skills
  • able to transform technical information into clear, compelling, succinct content for proposals to various audience types
