We are looking for an experienced Senior Benefits Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Overland Park, Kansas. This role involves overseeing the administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and utilizing HRIS systems to optimize processes and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring advanced expertise in benefits management, HRIS, and a strong analytical mindset to support organizational goals.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of benefits-related data within HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Configure and enhance HRIS functionalities to support benefits programs, including open enrollment and ongoing updates
Serve as the HRIS subject matter expert for benefits, providing training and guidance to team members
Conduct detailed audits of benefits data to ensure alignment with company policies and legal requirements
Monitor employee benefit enrollments and payroll deductions, addressing discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits administration
Assist in the design, implementation, and communication of employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
Coordinate the annual open enrollment process and address employee benefit inquiries effectively
Generate and analyze benefits-related reports to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization
Provide actionable insights from data analysis to support strategic decision-making
Requirements:
Extensive experience in managing and administering employee benefits programs
Proficiency in HRIS systems for data management and reporting
Strong knowledge of compliance requirements related to benefits, including FMLA and other relevant regulations
Ability to conduct audits and ensure data integrity within benefits systems
Expertise in configuring and optimizing HRIS functionalities for benefits administration
Skilled in analyzing benefits data and preparing insightful reports
Excellent communication skills to address employee inquiries and collaborate with internal teams
Previous experience coordinating open enrollment processes and benefits-related initiatives
