Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Baker to join the team at Science Museum London. Our catering outlets are open 7 days a week to serve our customers freshly made lunches such as sandwiches, pizzas, salads and cakes as well as events and afternoon tea.

Job Responsibility

  • Reporting directly with the Head Chef and manage the baking section of the kitchen
  • Working with the Head Chef and Group Executive Chef to develop maintain and new menu ideas
  • Ensuring the food quality is at its highest standard at all times
  • Ensure the performance of the baking team is of the highest standard by motivating and leading by example
  • Overseeing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control in conjunction with the Head Chef
  • Ensure all food safety and health and safety procedures are maintained to the highest standard

Requirements

  • Experience within a high volume kitchens
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
