Job Description:

We are a small, dynamic team and are looking for software engineers who thrive in a high growth environment working alongside teammates to launch products and features that will be utilized by customers across the globe. As part of the Software Engineering team, you’ll have ownership of one or more projects on various product or platform facing teams. You will work across the full software stack and collaborate cross functionally to build the latest iterations of Verkada’s flagship software, enabling our best-in-class security systems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Architect scalable systems and design latency sensitive applications for our Intercoms deployed around the world
  • Own backend systems end-to-end

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of industry backend software engineering experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience as a backend engineer at a rapidly growing start up or innovative company
  • Experience driving technical direction and leading teams on project execution
  • Experience collaborating cross functionally to design complex systems with simple and robust backend APIs
  • History of shipping out significant products
  • Ownership mentality, resolving problems that span beyond team boundaries
  • Deep expertise with relational databases
  • Demonstrated expertise in either Python or GoLang
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week
  • BS or a graduate degree in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or science

  • Postgres experience a plus
  • Experience with Kubernetes a plus
