Senior Backend Java Developer

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and guidance to a team of developers working on the Agency Lending strategic platform
• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to the platform's development and enhancement
• Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of developers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
• Development: Contribute to the hands-on development of critical platform components using Java, Java EE, Spring, Springboot, Hibernate, and microservices architecture
• Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the platform's architecture and underlying technologies
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, working effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zones
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, and other technical teams
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform's development processes
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers, helping them develop their technical skills and grow within the organization
• Business Support: Provide technical support to business users and stakeholders, addressing their needs and resolving issues related to the platform

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
• Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred

• Knowledge of Securities Finance
• Securities master and market data
• Financial Markets, Trading, Middle Office and Back Office functions
• Team oriented individual, ability to work in complex environment
• Able to support business issues on need basis in distributed teams across multiple time zones
