As our Backend Engineer in Barcelona, you’ll join us at an exciting moment: the launch of our new office in Spain! You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our product and platform, working with a modern tech stack to deliver robust, scalable features. This isn’t just another job – you’ll be part of building a new engineering hub from the ground up.

Job Responsibility:

Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps/platform teams to build meaningful features through our Agile SDLC/Kanban workflow
Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to retrospectives to drive continuous improvement
Define technical requirements and identify the best solutions to meet team goals
Participate in engineering retrospectives focused on testing, architecture, automation, and coding standards
Always think beyond the code - you’ll focus on delivering value and improving the user experience for our customers

Requirements:

5+ years of backend development experience
2+ years of experience with a strongly typed language or TypeScript
Strong experience with RDBMS (raw queries or via ORM)
Solid background in unit and integration testing
Experience with message brokers (SNS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, etc.)

Nice to have:

Experience with Node.js, GraphQL, GCP or AWS, gRPC and protobufs
Strong grasp of SOLID principles
