Job Responsibility

  • Lead the design of services and event-driven architectures that handle high-volume data and ensure a balance between immediate product requirements, technical feasibility, and long-term scalability
  • Write robust, efficient, and maintainable code and implement best practices for code reviews, testing, and continuous integration & delivery
  • Provide technical leadership and share knowledge with less experienced engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation
  • Work closely with Data, Product, and DevOps teams to deploy and maintain cutting-edge solutions and align technical strategy with business goals, ensuring each release adds measurable value
  • Continuously monitoring and improving the performance of backend services using Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, and Sentry
  • Participate in our cross-team Backend & DevOps "squad," providing innovative solutions and improvements to our stack (Grafana, Kibana, PostgreSQL, AWS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Django, Django Rest Framework), advocating for best practices in observability, monitoring, and alerting to ensure systems run at peak efficiency

Requirements

  • Substantial experience Python (Django is a plus)
  • Comfortable on challenging a implementation from the data model diagrams to the networking
  • Experience working at scale, serving dozen of millions of users
  • Professionally proficient in English
  • Not afraid of taking ownership to build exceptional products, including on design and product decision
  • Love domain-driven development, and understands interface purity has its limit
  • Want to lead across boundaries, and scale your impact to the organisation
  • Understand both how powerful and how dangerous AI-assisted workflows can be, and want to redefine the barriers of what is doable
