Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with a strong background in Java and AWS to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in backend development, focusing on cloud-native architectures and distributed systems. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services, ensuring high performance and scalability. We’re looking for a highly engaged Backend Developer (Java & Python, AWS) for one of our projects that acts as a vehicle image repository serving many downstream systems within a large automotive enterprise environment. The project ensures the high-quality provision of vehicle images for accurate and high-end car presentation across multiple applications. The solution operates in a cloud-based enterprise environment and follows Scrum as an agile framework. It is a modern, technically challenging project that offers real ownership, scale, and the chance to make a visible impact, with a realistic opportunity for long-term collaboration.

Job Responsibility:

Implement backlog items in accordance with defined project quality standards
Actively support user story refinement together with Business Analysts and the Scrum Team
Take responsibility for estimations, code reviews, documentation, and presentation of results
Develop and maintain backend services using Java (Quarkus preferred) and Python
Work with AWS services such as S3, EC2, Load Balancing, and DynamoDB
Ensure compliance with non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and maintainability
Apply unit testing and code quality standards to ensure robust and reliable solutions
Balance development, bug fixing, and refinement activities to achieve Zero Defects, Zero Spillover, and Zero Pull
Participate in operational duties as Agent on Duty and Agent on Call
Handle operational tickets within contractual SLAs (mandatory)
Contribute to continuous improvement of architecture, quality standards, and team performance

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Informatics or similar field of study, or equivalent working experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
Strong hands-on experience with AWS, especially S3, EC2, Load Balancing, and DynamoDB
Solid backend development skills in Java (Quarkus preferred) and Python
Experience with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems
Strong understanding of non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, maintainability)
Experience with unit testing and code quality best practices
Experience working in agile environments (Scrum)
Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to raise and address technical challenges
High level of self-organization, ownership, and continuous learning attitude
Willingness to participate in operational duties and on-call rotations under strict SLAs
