As part of the Launch Vehicle AIT team, you will be interfacing all Launch Vehicle system owners. You will be responsible for ensuring a coherent testing strategy within the department, test rig functionality, and scale existing or develop new test rigs to meet future testing demands. Furthermore, you are going to be part of the unit, system, and launch vehicle testing.
Job Responsibility:
Develop new test rigs for electronic equipment according to requirements and in alignment with system or unit owners and commission them
Maintain or upgrade existing test rigs with changing specifications
Increase the automation of testing across all test rigs
Identify bottle necks in current testing workflows and used test rigs and resolve them
Create test plans for units and systems and correlate them with their requirements
Conduct unit and system level functional testing before integration into Spectrum
Conduct system and launcher level functional testing after the integration of avionics into Spectrum
Ensure safe operation of all test rigs used during and after assembly of Spectrum
Ensure a high standard of reporting of conducted tests across the launch vehicle AIT team
Requirements:
BSc/MSc in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
Strong hands-on experience with PLCs or similar automation equipment
Experience in designing, commissioning, and using test rigs
Extensive experience with troubleshooting and debugging electrical cabinets, wiring, and instrumentation common to the aerospace/automation industry
Extensive experience with automation of testing and interconnection of test equipment via analog or digital interfaces (RS422/485, Ethernet, USB, etc.)
Experience in testing electrical systems common to the aerospace industry in test rigs and troubleshooting them in a laboratory setup
Experience with PCB design and debugging with common electrical/electronic equipment
Clean, organized, and structured way of work
Basic knowledge in Python, C++, or similar
Fluent in English
Nice to have:
Knowledge of common standards in the aerospace industry (SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-810, FTS standards, or similar)
Basic understanding of common systems within the aerospace industry (communication protocols, Radio Frequency, Guidance Navigation Control, power system, lithium-ion batteries, etc.)
