Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and technically versatile Lead SDET Engineer (Software Development Engineering Test) to lead quality efforts across our Big Data pipelines, frontend platforms, and emerging Agentic AI systems. This role requires a unique blend of data validation skills, frontend automation expertise using Cypress/Playwright, and a forward-looking mindset to ensure the safety, accuracy, and robustness of autonomous AI agents. You will work cross-functionally with product, AI/ML, and engineering teams to create test strategies, frameworks, and pipelines that uphold quality in complex, data-intensive and AI-driven environments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Implement and refine quality assurance strategies
  • Manage the design, development, and execution of comprehensive testing frameworks
  • Lead the practical application and optimization of automation frameworks
  • Build automation framework (Selenium/Cypress/Playwright)
  • Validate large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines
  • Develop automated data quality tests including schema validation, partitioning logic, and anomaly detection
  • Develop automated data quality tests in Python
  • Show proficiency in programming languages relevant to test automation (Python)
  • Build and maintain scalable Cypress/Playwright frameworks for UI and integration testing
  • Ensure frontend quality through robust end-to-end test coverage
  • Collaborate closely with frontend engineers
  • Deep knowledge of databases and SQL

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • equivalent practical experience considered
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance
  • At least 4 years of experience with automated testing tools
  • Should have experience in Cypress Framework using JavaScript
  • Proven leadership in Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Expertise in continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines
  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages relevant to test automation (Java)
  • Deep knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Proficient in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
  • Exceptional collaborative skills
  • Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented
