Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both manual testing and creating automated test scripts using Java and Selenium. The role focuses primarily on testing mobile solutions, including push notifications, and involves active participation in various stages of the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to test strategy planning.

Job Responsibility:

Perform manual testing of applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium
Test mobile solutions, with a focus on push notifications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine project requirements, documentation, and test strategies
Participate in project planning, including defining test plans, strategies, and timelines
Work closely with teams across different locations to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
Create and manage test data for various testing scenarios as well as identify, document, and track bugs and issues through to resolution
Provide input on improving testing processes and methodologies and ensure test coverage for both front-end and back-end systems

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Senior Automation Test Engineer or similar role with strong knowledge of Java and experience with Selenium WebDriver
Experience in manual testing and creating detailed test cases as well as familiarity with testing mobile applications and push notification systems
Solid understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies
Knowledge of back-end systems and APIs
Knowledge of version control systems like Git
Experience with tools like REST Assured is a plus
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in distributed teams
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in software testing
Experience in testing mobile applications and web-based solutions
ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus

Nice to have:

Knowledge of back-end systems and APIs
Knowledge of version control systems like Git
Experience with tools like REST Assured is a plus
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins is a plus
ISTQB certification or equivalent
