We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Auditor to join our team on a contract basis in Southlake, Texas. In this role, you will oversee a one-day inventory audit project, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards. This position requires a strong background in financial and operational auditing, as well as expertise in inventory assessments.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct a comprehensive inventory audit, adhering to sheet-to-floor and floor-to-sheet verification processes
Collaborate with the owner to understand the audit plan and ensure its successful implementation
Evaluate compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations during the audit process
Identify discrepancies or inconsistencies in inventory records and propose corrective actions
Document audit findings clearly and accurately for reporting purposes
Ensure operational procedures align with company policies and regulatory standards
Provide insights and recommendations to improve inventory management practices
Prepare detailed reports summarizing audit results and presenting actionable conclusions
Maintain confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive financial and operational data
Requirements:
Proven experience in financial and operational auditing, with a focus on inventory assessments
Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance standards
Skilled in identifying and addressing audit findings effectively
Strong analytical abilities to evaluate inventory records and detect inconsistencies
Excellent communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with stakeholders
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to auditing processes
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a contract-based role
