Job Description:

This role in the Quality Assurance function focused on the activities of the Legal, Compliance and Risk internal audit team involves partnering with global audit teams to ensure proper application and understanding of IA methodology, providing independent assurance via formal QA products, driving continuous improvement initiatives within IA, and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate independently as a QA partner across the assigned SME audit teams
  • support the QA Director and Senior Audit Manager in fostering a strong QA partnership
  • lead QA reviews and provide assurance over the quality of IA’s work
  • provide support and guidance to audit teams on methodology-related matters
  • establish and maintain professional relationships with IA Directors and Chief Auditors
  • contribute to continued improvement in IA and QA methodology through the delivery of QA products
  • support QA Directors with periodic ad-hoc projects
  • review and improve global IA methodology and practices including innovation initiatives
  • support QA Director in reviewing internal and external QA deliverables
  • assist other QA Directors to ensure efficiency in delivering the QA Plan

Requirements:

  • Extensive internal audit experience, including leading and executing risk-based audits and issue validations
  • experience with subject matter expert in Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Model Risk, Financial Crimes
  • strong understanding of Industry/Regulatory Standards for an IA function
  • strong knowledge of Citi’s Internal Audit Methodology
  • effective negotiation and interpersonal skills for interfacing with senior levels of Audit
  • ability to consistently demonstrate strong communication skills
  • demonstrated experience in writing impactful audit reports and effective issues
  • excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • advanced analytical skills with strong critical thinking
  • intermediate to advanced skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Tableau and/or other data analytics tools
  • related certifications preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
