We are looking for an experienced Senior Attorney to join our team at a reputable personal injury law firm in Queens, New York. This role is ideal for a proactive and organized individual with a strong background in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation. The position involves managing cases independently, supervising support staff, and contributing to the firm's commitment to exceptional client advocacy.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the intake and evaluation process for new clients to ensure thorough case assessment
  • Manage legal staff and support teams to maintain efficient workflows and case progress
  • Handle cases independently from initiation through resolution, including settlement negotiations
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to each case
  • Collaborate with clients to provide updates and guidance throughout the legal process
  • Utilize SmartAdvocate case management software to organize and track case details
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to attorneys and support staff
  • Represent clients effectively at hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings
  • Contribute to the firm's reputation by delivering high-quality advocacy and service

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation
  • Active admission to the New York State Bar
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload independently from intake to settlement
  • Proficiency in using SmartAdvocate or similar case management software
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Leadership capabilities for supervising staff and contributing to team development
  • In-depth knowledge of personal injury law and litigation procedures
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service to clients
