Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Associate / Vice President to join our Operator Selection & Operator Consulting platform in Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. This is an individual contributor role supporting the regional Operator Selection lead in delivering operator selection, owner–operator advisory and operator consulting assignments across the hotel and living asset classes. The role will focus on high-quality execution in operator selection & negotiation, client support, leading selected business development activities while working closely with senior leadership on complex structuring, negotiation and strategic matters.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the delivery of end-to-end operator selection assignments across hotels and living asset classes
  • Assist in advising clients on operator and brand strategy, recommended operating structures and operator shortlisting
  • Review operators’ Commercial Termsheets (MoUs) and Hotel Management Agreement (HMAs), providing recommendations on commercial terms and operational considerations
  • Manage RFP processes, including preparation of marketing materials, coordination with operators, clients and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare comparative assessment matrices and client recommendation materials for senior review
  • participate in client presentations
  • Participate in operator presentations and negotiations, supporting Clients in documenting agreed positions and follow-up actions
  • Keep up with the latest trends in hotel brands and HMA terms, being principally accountable for the management of internal databases
  • Support strategic consulting assignments for hotel and living operators and platforms, including market entry studies, growth strategy, brand positioning and commercial terms benchmarking
  • Support business development and mandate origination activities, including preparation of pitch materials, market intelligence and client proposals
  • Originate selected opportunities and introductions
  • Participate in industry events, conferences and client forums to support client coverage and platform visibility
  • Act as a resource on brand positioning, management agreement trends and owner-operator best practices
  • Support Advisory, Investment Sales and Asset Management teams on operator-related matters as required

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in relevant disciplines such as law, business, hospitality, finance and/or real estate
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in hospitality, hotel development, real estate advisory, consulting, investment or asset management
  • Solid hands-on experience in: Operator selection processes and brand strategy
  • Management and franchise agreements negotiations
  • Hotel and/or living feasibility and P&L analysis
  • Experience across at least two Southeast Asian markets preferred
  • Prior experience with hotel operators, hospitality investors, developers, advisory firms or legal / consulting platforms strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workstreams independently while working closely with senior leadership on complex assignments
  • Strong analytical and commercial judgement with excellent written and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and operators under senior guidance
  • Well organised with strong project management and prioritisation skills
  • Proactive, motivated and keen to build long-term expertise in owner–operator advisory
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a regional team environment
  • Proficiency in English required
