Job Description

As a Senior Associate Technology Strategy and Innovation, you will partner worth startups, academic institutions, technology vendors and internal R&D teams to accelerate the discovery, validation and scaling of AI-driven solutions across Amgen's value chain. The innovation Lab acts as bridge between external innovation and enterprise-scale deployment, rapidly testing new ideas, de-risking emerging technologies and translating them into compliant, production-ready solutions

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with startups, universities and technology partners to co-create and Pilot AI/ML Solutions
  • Evaluate external algorithms, platforms and datasets for technical soundness, scalability and regulatory fit
  • Translate Partner innovation into Amgen-ready architectures, aligning with internal data, security and governance standards
  • Support proof of concepts (PoCs), Hackathons, Joint research initiatives and innovation challenges
  • Create reports on market trends and facilitate workshops for internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of University Research preferred
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Data Science
  • Understanding of Gen AI Tech Stack is preferred
  • Strong background in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, NLP, Data Mining
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in Academia, innovation management, startups, or corporate venturing
  • Strong networking and communication abilities, analytical skills, and familiarity with startup ecosystems
