Support logistics execution primarily for Australia, and other JAPAC markets as needed. Support importation of shipments, inventory, and Logistics Service Provider (LSP) relationship. Cross-functional coordination. Continuous Improvement (Quality, Time, Cost) in logistics area. Liaise with Amgen global and local network to ensure the product supply.
Job Responsibility:
Support relationship with Australia and New Zealand Logistics Service Providers (LSP)
Support in-market operations (e.g. importation, goods receiving, storage, inventory management, transportation/logistics issues, capacity analysis and destruction management) primarily in Australia and other JAPAC markets as needed
Ensure LSP is meeting performance expectations and adhering to contractual terms
Support Quality inspections, internal and external audits, and mock recalls
Identify continuous improvement opportunities to optimize processes and/or provide costs savings
Shipment notification to customs broker & LSP and tracking shipment, import declaration review, submit customs duty payment request, maintain shipment records and shipment documents
Optimize processes and procedures to flawlessly execute supply chain activities
Support Compliance Hub and Quality in GDP compliance activities - deviations, corrective actions, temperature excursions – within Amgen’s Quality Management System
Own and investigate distribution complaints, manage change controls within Amgen’s Quality Management Systems
Facilitate internal and external meetings
Support Inventory reconciliation & monthly reports to finance
Support in-market operations by developing and owning Transportation Lane Assessments
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
APICS (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD) certification
Pharmaceutical supply chain knowledge including Australian and JAPAC regulations and best practices related to distribution of pharmaceutical products
Experience working across diverse APAC cultures and markets
Pharmaceutical manufacturing knowledge
Demonstrated and proficient experience in ERP system, in particular SAP
Demonstrated experience using AI tools and data analytics for operational improvements
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Motivated, self-starter who can influence and change in an ambiguous environment
Effective verbal, written, and listening communications skills
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Candidate must be based in Sydney to ensure immediate travel to distribution centre when required and also for periodic visits and stock takes
