Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Senior Tax Associate, State Income and Franchise Tax to join their dynamic team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Developing strong client relationships on various tax consulting/compliance engagements
  • Advising clients on a variety of issues including multistate tax planning, accounting for income taxes, restructuring, audit defense, and due diligence
  • Preparing complex multistate tax compliance and consulting projects requiring tax analysis for entities and their affiliates
  • Researching and analyzing a wide range of tax issues and tax implications including pass-through entity taxes, apportionment methodology, unitary filings, and nexus considerations
  • Managing engagement workflow and engagement team resources
  • Providing leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of overall tax experience
  • 1-2 years of SALT specific experience, required
  • CPA or JD preferred
  • Ability to work with a fully remote team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and interact effectively at all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel on as needed basis
