Job Description

A leading construction and property consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their London team. This Senior Associate Quantity Surveyor role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of professional quantity surveying services across a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, infrastructure and public sector projects. The Senior Associate Quantity Surveyor will take a strategic role in managing key quantity surveying responsibilities across the full project lifecycle, while supporting the leadership of project teams and maintaining strong commercial control.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparing and reviewing detailed cost plans and project budgets
  • Leading tender documentation, procurement strategies and contract preparation
  • Managing subcontractor procurement and commercial negotiations
  • Overseeing valuations, variations and change management processes
  • Leading risk management and value engineering strategies
  • Managing interim valuations and overseeing final account agreements
  • Producing detailed financial reports and advising clients on project costs

Requirements

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
  • Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Senior Associate Quantity Surveyor within consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly JCT
  • Experience delivering projects across the full project lifecycle
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • MRICS chartership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
