Job Description

Senior Associate, Product Management- Developer Tooling. Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. We believe our portfolio of businesses and investments in growth and transformation will result in a company with the scale, brand, capabilities, talent, and values to succeed as the digital revolution transforms our society and our industry. Do you dream of well-designed and intuitive products and customer experiences? Do you want to be the one who introduces change to help tens of millions of customers make smarter financial choices? Do you want to change the way people manage their money? If you answered yes to all of these questions, then product management at Capital One may be a fit for you. In this role, you’ll learn the essentials of being a product manager, and we’ll invest in you to grow in four key areas: Human Centered, Business Focused, Technology Driven, Transformational Leadership. As a Senior Associate Product Manager for Developer Tooling, you will define the internal experience for our engineering teams. Your primary mission is to empower developers to work faster and more effectively. A key part of this role is owning our context service, which provides engineers with the intelligent, real-time data they need to streamline their daily AI workflows. You will treat engineers as your customers, ensuring our platform is easy to use while maintaining the high security standards of a global bank. You will own the roadmap for our testing strategies and developer automation. Your goal is to champion engineering excellence by making testing a seamless, intelligent process rather than a manual hurdle. By leveraging AI, you will identify ways to embed smart automation into the development lifecycle, ensuring every feature is stable and high-quality before it reaches our customers. You will define success through improved developer productivity and tool adoption. Success in this role means acting as a bridge between technical infrastructure teams and product leadership. You will conduct regular research with engineers to find and fix the friction points that slow them down. You must be able to balance rapid innovation with a 'well-managed' mindset, ensuring that risk and compliance requirements are built directly into our tools. Ultimately, you will empower our engineers to focus on building great products by providing them with the best possible tooling and context.
