Senior Associate, Product Management- CAPS. About the team: Capital One is building a state-of-the-art data product to unlock new and enhanced experiences to meet the needs of a variety of Capital One card customers. You will work closely with technology teams to help shape and maintain our data products by creating and executing a product roadmap, gathering client data requirements, and facilitating communication with leadership throughout each phase.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria
  • Breakdown business epics into features and further into user stories
  • Use hypothesis-driven assessment of data to ensure product or feature delivers on real business needs
  • Own and prioritize feature development roadmaps
  • Work autonomously in an agile environment to conduct research and develop features
  • Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists and subject-matter experts
  • Deliver well-managed product platforms for customers
  • Participate in horizontal forums to harness a network of relationships
  • Articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of product management experience or at least 1 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
  • 1+ years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer facing digital products
  • 1+ years of experience working on core product platforms powering digital experiences
  • 1+ years working with cross functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust financial crimes strategy covering Sanctions, AML, Fraud, ABC, Fraud and Reputational Risk across the Issuer and Investor Services division globally
  • Lead the Issuer and Investor Services Financial Crimes team to successfully manage the division's complex global business by driving the risk and control function, uplifting risk, compliance, and governance standards
  • Oversee all in-business financial crimes controls processes and governance, including end-to-end process management, risk identification/analysis/management, issue escalation, and corrective action planning (CAP)
  • Conduct reviews of financial crimes processes and procedures to ensure that both controls and processes are in keeping with policy and business expectations
  • Provide expert advice and assessment on financial crime risks when business decisions are made
