We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to oversee the cost management of scheme (card network) and local payment methods. This role is responsible for managing interchange, scheme fees, and local payment costs, driving cost optimization, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor and analyze scheme fees, interchange rates, and local payment costs across different markets
Maintain and update internal cost models
track changes in card scheme rules, local payment regulations, and new BIN introductions
Work closely with Finance and Product teams to forecast cost impacts and optimize pricing strategies
Partner with technology teams to implement automated processes for cost calculation, allocation, and reporting
Support AI and data-driven initiatives for more accurate and efficient configuration of payment cost structures
Prepare regular cost analysis reports and present actionable insights
Identify opportunities to lower processing costs for merchants while maintaining service quality
Participate in cross-functional projects related to new product launches or changes in payment acceptance
Act as the main point of contact with card schemes and local payment partners for pricing and cost-related inquiries
Requirements:
3+ years of relevant experience in payments, financial services, or cost/pricing analysis
In-depth understanding of card scheme rules, interchange, and payment industry economics
Familiarity with local payment methods in key markets is a strong plus
Strong analytical and modeling skills, with proficiency in Excel
knowledge of SQL or BI tools is an advantage
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
High attention to detail and a proactive attitude
