Job Description

The Senior Associate, reporting to the Manager of MLRO Services, will be an integral part of the team’s success through the provision of the service to clients and stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Acting as MLRO to a portfolio of UCITS and AIFMD investment funds
  • Preparation and presentation of quarterly MLRO Reports to Fund Boards
  • Drafting & maintenance of AML Policies and AML Risk Assessments
  • Conducting annual on-site inspections at the fund Administrator, reporting findings to the board of directors and making recommendations as appropriate
  • Delivery of ongoing & annual AML training to the fund board of directors
  • Dealing with financial sanctions alerts and reporting as appropriate
  • Investigating potentially suspicious transactions and reporting to the authorities as appropriate
  • Liaising with external stakeholders on all AML/CFT matters
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities as delegated by the Head of MLRO or Senior Management

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years industry experience
  • Self-starter with clarity of analysis and of expression, both written and oral
  • Excellent interpersonal and client management skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Experience presenting to senior management and/or board of directors
  • Experiencing of short-term project management, demonstrated achieving targets
  • Outstanding time management, organizational skills, oral/written communication skills, critical thinking and attention to detail is required
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment including reporting and providing support to various members of the team
  • An internationally recognized professional third level qualification
  • Professional qualification and/or the LCI designation
  • Fluency in AML/CFT legislation/regulation/industry best practice as it applies to the funds industry
