We are looking for a Senior Associate, Middle Office Operations with strong attention to detail to join an Alternative Investment firm in the Twin Cities. This role supports key operational activities tied to private credit funds, with a focus on accuracy, oversight, and process efficiency. The position offers the opportunity to work across reporting, reconciliations, account onboarding, and financing activities while partnering with internal teams to strengthen controls and improve workflows.
Job Responsibility:
Manage remittance preparation and reconciliation for credit portfolios, ensuring complete and accurate reporting
Partner with technology and data teams to streamline operational tasks, improve data quality, and introduce greater automation into recurring processes
Support remittance-related activities connected to operations, while helping refine procedures to increase consistency and efficiency
Coordinate with investor reporting contacts to review validation practices and strengthen the accuracy of reporting outputs
Oversee the setup of new funds, confirming documentation, operational readiness, and proper alignment with internal requirements
Perform monthly financing roll activities for credit funds, including detailed tie-outs related to securitization reporting
Prepare and deliver supporting schedules for fund administration and accounting teams to assist with trial balance review and reconciliation
Contribute to ongoing enhancements across middle office workflows by identifying control gaps, reducing manual effort, and improving reporting reliability
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
3+ years of relevant experience in operations, accounting, or finance within a fast-moving business environment
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across operational, reporting, and support teams
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel capabilities for analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
Self-directed approach with the adaptability to succeed in an entrepreneurial setting where processes and responsibilities may evolve
Nice to have:
Background in private credit (CLO, CDO etc) operations, fund accounting, or related middle office functions is strongly preferred
CPA, or similar credential is a plus
