Job Description

In this vital role, you will serve as the Senior Associate Supply Chain Material Request Coordinator. Reporting to the Amgen India Lead, you will execute planning and transactional supply chain activities that support Amgen’s operational, compliance, and financial objectives. You will apply standard supply chain and MRP planning principles while ensuring full compliance with cGMP requirements and Amgen procedures, with a strong emphasis on right-first-time execution. You will manage specialized shipping and sales order activities from Amgen Thousand Oaks to Amgen’s network sites and external partners, including accurate material movement and transportation booking for raw materials and products. You will also coordinate miscellaneous raw material and product deliveries across Thousand Oaks plants, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient movement of goods. Operating with a high level of independence, you will deliver assigned work to meet operational goals, identify and implement improvement opportunities within scope, and understand and communicate the financial impact of planning and inventory decisions. You will collaborate cross-functionally with planning, manufacturing, quality, warehouse, and finance partners, effectively managing priorities to meet deadlines and support business timelines.

Job Responsibility

  • Apply standard supply chain and MRP planning principles
  • Execute planning activities in compliance with cGMP requirements and Amgen procedures, ensuring minimal operational disruption
  • Responsible for managing specialized shipping Sales Order management from Amgen Thousand Oaks to network sites and external parties, including information validation and booking mode of transportation as applicable, for raw materials as well as product
  • Responsible for managing miscellaneous raw materials and product deliveries across Amgen Thousand Oaks manufacturing plants
  • Independently deliver assigned work to meet operational objectives, while identifying and implementing improvements within scope of responsibility

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years’ work experience in related field and/or experience in relevant field
  • Hands-on experience with MRP planning in SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to follow written directions and understand criticality of work
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience in SAP/Oracle, Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point), and other data management tools (e.g., Informatica, Oracle MDM)
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy and attention to detail, with a solid focus on data quality
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical partners
