Job Description:

This position provides legal advice and counsel for specific areas of the business. The objective is to provide counsel to the business areas, including drafting and negotiating various types of contracts ensuring alignment with global legal strategy. This is a highly visible position with a demanding and fast-paced business. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a multi-national matrixed company and able to navigate accordingly.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drafting and negotiating contracts related to solar, wind, and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) for (i) supply of components (ii) maintenance and operation services (iii) construction services (including BOP, civil works, main components)
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts related to general services and supply, including professional services, for US and Canadian companies
  • Counseling the company on legal issues, risks, and compliance best practices
  • Developing and implementing preventive law strategies to help minimize litigation, third-party disputes, and other potential legal and business problems
  • Handling any disputes, both judicial and extrajudicial, related to procurement contracts
  • Interpreting and explaining legal requirements and assisting the organization with compliance with statutes, regulations, and industry rules

Requirements:

  • J.D. with 5-7 years of practice experience
  • BAR admission
