We are looking for an exceptional Senior Associate or Counsel to join our market leading Switzerland Employment practice in Geneva. Our Employment team works with our clients on the full range of domestic and international employment issues. We work with a broad range of blue chip and global clients across a range of sectors, including financial services, insurance, IT, pharmaceutical, transport, consumer products, publishing and retail. You are an experienced expert with passion working for multinational clients assisting with domestic matters as well as working with our colleagues across the globe to expand relationships and work on global projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Advising on when automatic transfer applies and relevant consequences
  • Advising on automatic transfer information and consultation requirements
  • Advising on related issues, for example, protection against dismissal, changing terms and conditions, the election of worker representatives and protective awards
  • Drafting and negotiating relevant provisions
  • General transactional support
  • Advising on when a redundancy situation arises and procedural requirements, including consultation requirements in the context of individual and collective processes
  • Advising on a range of day-to-day queries from clients, including: advising on terminations and preparing termination documentation, drafting and negotiating settlement agreements, disciplinary and grievance procedures, sickness absence, performance management, whistleblowing issues, internal investigations, contract and policy reviews and data protection
  • Leading on global or multi-jurisdictional projects such as implementing global or regional HR projects and transactions
  • Taking the lead in managing employment related claims, including strategic and tactical advice, attending and managing conciliation hearings, preparing legal writs and considering merits and settlement
