Join NTT DATA as a Senior Associate DC Engineer, where you will design, install, and maintain critical infrastructure systems in data centers. You will analyze operating conditions, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with safety standards. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required, along with 5 years of relevant experience. This is a full-time, on-site position in Malaysia.

Job Responsibility:

  • Designs, plans, installs, and maintains mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical, high-risk and high-reliability data center environments.
  • Understand potential equipment failures and provide full technical support to Facility Operations teams in the event of a critical system failure.
  • Analyzes current operating conditions and recommends new preventative and proactive methods for maintaining and monitoring facilities systems.
  • Evaluates facility standards and practices to improve maintenance procedures and ensure optimal operational efficiency.
  • Complies with organizational and governmental safety standards.
  • Coordinates response to emergency situations and ensures that corrective measures are rapid and thorough.
  • Follows operational processes and ensures services and infrastructure meets operational service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Perform facility system component upgrades as required to ensure reliability and combat obsolescence
  • Design maintenance programs for Electrical and Mechanical systems to minimize maintenance complexity and reduce maintenance down time.
  • Validate maintenance performance by analysing trends, operational history, maintenance data and Utilisation metrics
  • Provides non-routine technical support for data center operations, including troubleshooting software and hardware failures.
  • Participates in the development of datacentre infrastructure projects.
  • Performs any other duties as required by the Facility Operations management team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college or equivalent field experience to successfully perform essential job functions
  • Relevant vendor certifications
  • Additional beneficial certifications such as AOS,ATD,CDFOM, CDCDP etc.
  • Seasoned knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring and control systems typically used in critical environments
  • Seasoned knowledge of critical facilities/datacentre operations and maintenance
  • Seasoned proficiency of sensitive facility components that may be impacted by failures or malfunctions of infrastructure systems
  • Demonstrates good analytical skills, having an ability to analyse, refine, summarize, and clearly present data and information.
  • 5 years of experience in critical facility /datacentre technical operations and maintenance/or engineering design of critical systems
