The General Motors Global Corporate Development team responds to the needs of the organization, considering business objectives and external impacts to determine how best to deliver on corporate strategy. The Role: The OEM Partnerships team is responsible for developing & maintaining relationships with major external OEMs, analyzing, negotiating, structuring, and executing strategic alliances, partnerships, joint ventures and other forms of collaborations, as well as working extensively with internal functions to identify collaboration opportunities.
Job Responsibility
Support strategic OEM partnerships from opportunity identification through execution
Identify, evaluate, and develop new partnership opportunities across vehicle programs, propulsion systems, batteries, sourcing, purchasing, and other strategic business initiatives
Build business cases and perform strategic and financial analysis to support partnership decisions
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across Planning, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Purchasing, Program Management, Sales, and After Sales
Prepare executive presentations, meeting materials, agendas, and decision documents
Support partnership negotiations and development of definitive agreements
Lead assigned work-streams and drive projects to completion while ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders
Build and maintain relationships with external OEM partners and internal business leaders
Coordinate meetings with internal teams and external partners
Develop executive-ready presentations and business recommendations
Willingness to work a regular schedule that may include evening hours
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field
5+ years of experience in an automotive or related industry
Be self-motivated, action-oriented doers unafraid to act, decide, and lead in ambiguous contexts
Anticipate issues, evaluate potential solutions and distill complex problems efficiently
Leverage sharp financial acumen and computer skills to perform fundamental financial modeling and analysis with ability to clearly and concisely convey messaging to various audiences
Manage multiple, competing priorities, often within tight timing expectation
Effectively delegate, influence and indirectly manage the work of others, with focus on coaching and development towards success
Nice to have
Master's of Business Administration or similar advanced degree
Demonstrated transaction experience and cross-functional leadership
Broad understanding of organizational functions involved in automobile development
Background in automotive, manufacturing, Corporate Development or consulting
