Are you a qualified accountant seeking to advance your career with a global industry leader? We're looking for a detail-oriented Senior Associate, Controllership to join our Australia Controllership Team and play a key role in our financial operations across Australia and New Zealand. This role offers hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days at 180 George Street and 2 days working from home.

Job Responsibility:

  • Actively involved and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Support with the SOX compliance, group risk audit and local statutory financial reporting audits
  • Other ad hoc project and tasks where necessary
  • Responsible for the preparation of the Aust and NZ annual statutory financial report
  • Ensure compliance with local and global financial regulations
  • Develop and maintain all necessary systems and accounting processes and controls
  • Identify and implement process re-engineering opportunities
  • Actively involved and support the Australia end of month close process

Requirements:

  • CA, CPA qualification or equivalent
  • 4-5 years of accounting experience with demonstrated expertise in statutory reporting
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP/IFRS differences (preferred)
  • High level of analytical skills and computer literacy
  • Excellent time management and ability to adhere to strict deadlines
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to think outside the box, troubleshoot and resolve ad hoc matters
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Experience with PeopleSoft is desirable – equivalent is acceptable
  • Ability to multi-task, accept frequent change requests, be flexible with working hours and prioritise work within tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
