A leading Building Surveying consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Building Surveyor to join their Oxford office. This is a pivotal role offering the chance to lead high-value commissions, shape the strategic direction of the team, and play a key part in the continued growth of a thriving multidisciplinary environment.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and deliver a variety of professional and project-based Building Surveying services across the private and commercial sectors
Act as Lead Consultant on complex projects, prepare technical specifications, oversee tender processes, and liaise closely with planning and building control authorities
Manage project programmes, ensure technical documentation is of the highest standard, and control budgets to achieve on-time, on-cost delivery
Support junior colleagues, manage team resources, contribute to departmental strategy, and play an active role in business development
Collaborate with in-house colleagues across other disciplines to ensure seamless project outcomes
Requirements:
Degree in Building Surveying
Chartered status or a willingness to progress towards RICS chartership
Strong background as a Building Surveyor, operating confidently in a consultant capacity
Experience delivering larger and more complex projects across the full lifecycle
Ability to delegate, mentor, and support junior team members
Strong analytical capability with the ability to report performance to senior management
Excellent knowledge of CDM and construction Health and Safety
Strong understanding of contract administration and tender processes
Capable of managing workload, deadlines, and client expectations effectively
Candidates must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check due to client requirements
