In this vital role, you will be responsible for certain global processes, knowledge management and metrics and analytics for the Staff Relations team. The Staff Relations Senior Associate also will provide project management support as needed. Staff Relations is a specialized Human Resources function that partners closely with managers, Compliance, Legal, and collaborators in HR to protect Amgen values, investigate potential violations of HR policies, provide practical advice and guidance on coaching staff and managers, and advise on performance and behaviors management, involuntary terminations, and workplace accommodations.
Job Responsibility:
Support and manage projects and initiatives for Staff Relations group
Manage Staff Relations content on the MyHR portal in coordination with the Knowledge Management team
Manage the disciplinary process globally for the Information Security phishing campaign, including coordinating with HRBPs on local requirements
Manage the disciplinary process for the United States for non-exempt employees who fail to enter hours work in the time management system
Enter, manage and retrieve data from case management system and prepare quarterly and annual metrics presentations
Analyze data to identify trends, find efficiencies, and suggest process improvements and system changes
Assist with development of tools and templates for Staff Relations team and managers
Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to all issues
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of HR experience or project management experience
Associate’s degree and 4 years of project management experience or HR experience
Proficiency in HR systems including Workday and EthicsPoint (or other case management system)
Demonstrated project management skills
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to learn and fairly apply company policy, internal HR procedures, and regulatory guidelines within scope of duties
Ability to maintain and report on confidential information in an appropriate manner
Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and prioritize time
Experience working on employee relations matters
Strong verbal and written communication combined with organizational skills and cross-cultural sensitivity
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and establish and maintain working relationships with a variety of individuals and groups
Demonstrated customer service/client orientation
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
E-mail (Outlook) and Internet
