The Senior Associate – HR Data Analytics supports Amgen’s mission to serve patients by providing actionable workforce insights that enable data-driven decisions across Global Human Resources. This role partners with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Business Partners, and business leaders to deliver analytical solutions, dashboards, and reports that improve the effectiveness of people programs and organizational outcomes. The position plays a key role in advancing Amgen’s people analytics capability, ensuring data accuracy, governance, and accessibility while helping translate complex data into strategic insights aligned with business priorities.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain HR analytics dashboards and reports (e.g., headcount, attrition, diversity, hiring, mobility) using Power BI, Workday, and Visier
Partner with HR and business stakeholders to analyze workforce data, identify trends, and generate insights that inform talent, DE&I, and workforce planning strategies
Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure consistency and integrity across HR systems and reports
Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to enhance data governance, reporting processes, and automation
Deliver insights and recommendations through data storytelling, visualizations, and executive presentations
Contribute to the evolution of Amgen’s People Analytics roadmap, supporting digital transformation initiatives and standardization of global HR metrics
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field
6 -10 years of experience in HR analytics, people insights, or workforce planning
Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Visier) and HR systems (Workday)
Solid understanding of HR metrics, workforce trends, and key people analytics concepts
Demonstrated ability to translate data into insights and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have:
Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or Business Intelligence
Experience in SQL, Python, or other analytics programming languages
Familiarity with Alteryx, or data integration tools
Experience in global or matrixed organizations, preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Survey designing and data processing experience preferred, including the ability to create effective survey instruments and analyze responses to generate actionable insights
