We’re looking for a Senior Assistant Store Manager to join our Westfield Sydney store! This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced retail leader who’s ready to operate at a Store Manager level while working alongside an experienced leadership team in one of our flagship locations. If you’re passionate about people leadership, commercial results, and delivering exceptional customer experiences, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner closely with the Store Manager and Optometrist to drive store performance, team engagement, and an exceptional customer journey from eye test through to dispense
  • Take ownership of the store in the Store Manager’s absence, confidently leading daily operations, customer experience, and team performance
  • Lead from the front on the floor, creating a high-energy, service-first environment
  • Coach, develop, and motivate the team to consistently deliver strong results and exceptional customer experiences
  • Drive commercial outcomes through strong operational execution, KPI performance, and team development
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing team capability building
  • Ensure the appointment book, workflow, and day-to-day operations run seamlessly

Requirements

  • An experienced retail leader with Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, or equivalent leadership experience
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and knows how to lead from the front
  • A confident people leader who loves developing high-performing teams
  • Commercially minded with a strong track record of delivering sales and operational results
  • Passionate about creating memorable customer experiences through genuine service
  • Experience in optics is highly regarded, though not essential
  • Someone who aligns with our values: tight-knit, down-to-earth, and constantly improving
  • Available to work full-time on a Sunday - Thursday roster
