This is a senior role supporting our boards, committees, joint ventures and subsidiary companies, making sure our governance arrangements are well run, compliant and effective. You will work closely with senior leaders, board and committee members, organise and support key meetings, provide high-quality governance advice, and step in for the Group Company Secretary when needed. Job Responsibility
Lead day-to-day governance support for boards, committees, joint ventures and subsidiary companies across the Group
Ensure meetings are well planned, properly serviced and compliant with legal, regulatory and good practice requirements
Provide clear governance advice to board and committee members, senior leaders and colleagues across the business
Support the setup and ongoing management of commercial subsidiaries and other legal entities within the Group structure
Oversee company records, statutory filings, registers and governance information so they are accurate and up to date
Help improve governance processes and procedures so they are efficient, practical and fit for purpose
Deputise for the Group Company Secretary, including attending meetings and taking minutes when required
Requirements
Strong experience in company secretariat, governance or corporate administration gained by working within a multi-entity organisation ideally in a regulated housing environment
Either CGI (ICSA) qualified, or equivalent qualification and/or demonstrable experience in a regulated sector
Strong understanding of company law, governance frameworks and statutory filing requirements
Experience of supporting boards or committees, including preparing papers, advising stakeholders, and taking accurate minutes
Strong stakeholder communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders
Strong organisation skills, excellent attention to detail and confidence in managing competing priorities in a busy environment
