The Senior Process Engineer for Mechanical and Hydraulic Assemblies is responsible for defining, optimizing, and monitoring the assembly processes for mechanical components. The role collaborates and interfaces with various corporate functions (production, quality, engineering) and maintenance to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards, guaranteeing process robustness and supporting the introduction of new products or technologies.
Job Responsibility:
Analyze, design, and improve mechanical assembly processes using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Manage the definition or revision of work cycles, line layouts, standard times (MTM/Work Sampling), and technical documentation (SOP, Work Instructions)
Manage specifications for new equipment (from concept, budgeting, co-design, supply, installation, and commissioning)
Collaborate and lead suppliers for the development of assembly tools, equipment, and machines
Manage the development and implementation (including supplier management) of assembly equipment, Poka-Yoke devices, and automation solutions
Support and act as engineering reference for the industrialization of new products (NPL)
Conduct process FMEA analysis and define control plans
Understand and analyze process KPIs (OEE, scrap, cycle times) and lead corrective actions
Manage technical changes (ECO) and implement process updates
Ensure compliance with safety, ergonomics, and quality standards
Train operational staff on new processes, work methods, and tools
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in mechanical or electromechanical assembly
Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Management Engineering or related fields
Experience working in medium-to-large manufacturing environments
Advanced knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and production lines
Ability to design/define assembly equipment (basic dimensioning)
Knowledge of technical drawings and ISO standards (GD&T)
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, VSM
Hands-on workshop experience
Knowledge of time analysis methodologies (MTM)
Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC)
Ability to use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Vis Mock Up)
Good command of MS Office / Power BI and MES/ERP systems
