Job Description:

Seeking an Art Director with creative passion. You must have a fine eye for detail and experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. A keen sense of design nuance and a clean, upscale design aesthetic. You must work well with strong personalities and possess good communication skills. Bring your A-game.

Job Responsibility:

Designs Logos, print ads, brochures, booklets, fliers, TV commercials, billboards, interactive/web ads and more
Meets as needed with account executives and design/production personnel to ensure coordination between traditional and interactive advertising and marketing efforts
Works with other art directors, copywriters and additional designated “team” personnel in production of said materials
Works with production personnel, providing complete input and any instruction and supervision required to smoothly complete production of approved design
Provides all required specifications (colors, fonts, papers, sizes, etc.) to production department
Reviews all production materials on assigned projects and signs off prior to forwarding job to account executive and CMO for further required approvals/outside production
Art directs videos, photo shoots, audio tapings, press-proofing, etc. and supervises freelancers assigned to art director’s projects as requested by traffic manager
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well under pressure is a must
Meets with account executives/traffic manager as required ensuring timely, accurate completion of assigned projects
Keeps senior art director/creative director informed of need to upgrade design-related computer hardware/software
Maintains said equipment/supplies for use in the creative department
Has working knowledge of computer design software and hardware and strives to stay current in level of knowledge and abilities

Requirements:

3+ years design experience in an agency setting is required
Must possess exceptional computer skills
Macintosh operating platform a must
Thorough knowledge of the following software applications is required, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, scanning software, Adobe Photoshop and any widely utilized word processing application
Mastered composition techniques (multiple elements and interactive pieces) in producing polished final pieces
Attention to detail
Comprehensive photo-retouching and image editing skills
Strong Adobe Creative Cloud suite experience
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and provide marketable solutions in conceiving, developing, and producing tactics
A team player
An understanding of the residential real estate industry is a huge plus
Must be willing to do what it takes to get the job done
Mastered composition techniques (multiple elements and interactive pieces) in producing polished final pieces (i.e., attention to detail, good knife)
Comprehensive computer photo-retouching and image development skills
Demonstrate complete understanding of: Color theory and color relationships
Knowledge and appreciation of typography, both from a technical standpoint and a creative standpoint
Perspective and space relationships
Page composition and grid structures
Print production process, knowledge of production techniques, and correct disking procedures
Photography and the photographic process
Demonstrated ability to: Communicate thorough knowledge of assigned product(s)
Provide effective direction at photo shoots
Effectively check and approve work on press
Effectively collect electronic materials for output
Effectively handle multiple assignments at one time
Manage challenging situations both internally and with the client
Command respect of freelancers and designers and be able to effectively oversee their work

Nice to have:

Motion graphics and video production knowledge a plus
An understanding of the residential real estate industry is a huge plus
