Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Senior Architect/ Planner with 7+ years’ experience to join our dynamic New York team. As a Senior Architect/ Planner, you will play a key role in overseeing the technical aspects of a project from construction documentation to construction administration. Reporting directly to our Project Managers and Technical Director, you will collaborate closely with a team of designers, strategists, architects and planners. Experience in project types ranging from corporate office interiors, mixed-use and landlord/building architecture is preferred. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to the growth and success of our firm.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparation of architectural contract drawings for purposes of bidding, landlord review and building department filing
  • Perform REBNY, BOMA or other area calculations under the supervision of the Principal, Project Manager or Project Architect/Project Coordinator
  • Effectively communicate and present in a professional manner to Real Estate Brokers to obtain an understanding of required calculations
  • Possess strong ability to draft plans and details
  • Possess strong ability to organize, complete and track multiple tasks/ items
  • Process shop drawings and RFI’s through Newforma, as instructed by Senior Project Architect/Senior Project Coordinator
  • Follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide clear and concise instructions to Intermediate and Junior Planners, when necessary
  • Mentor Intermediate and Junior Planners
  • Take on Intermediate/Senior Designer role as project dictates, Project Manager to advise at onset of project
  • Project Architect/Project Coordinator responsibilities may be required depending on project

Requirements:

  • 7+ Years Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software is required
  • LEED Accreditation encouraged
  • License / Actively pursuing Licensure preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication skills are essential
  • Qualified candidates must include an online or PDF portfolio with their application
