Job Description

We are seeking a technically strong, self-sufficient professional with 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications and working within data-driven environments. This role is heavily focused on leading the technical implementation and execution of key Data Management initiatives, with an emphasis on owning technical projects end-to-end rather than purely hands-on development. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SQL Server, SSMS, and SSIS, along with strong troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to guide technical solutions across the application lifecycle. While scripting and coding are part of the role, they are supportive functions rather than the primary focus, used as needed to enable data initiatives and system enhancements. This individual will serve as a key technical lead and liaison between IT and the Data Management team, driving communication, coordinating efforts, and ensuring successful delivery of critical projects. 100% Remote. Must sit in ET, CT or MT

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the technical execution of projects from planning through completion
  • Act as the primary point of contact between IT and Data Management, driving alignment and communication
  • Coordinate and shepherd testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution across teams
  • Support data initiatives through occasional scripting/coding (primarily SQL) as needed
  • Identify technical needs, risks, and dependencies and proactively drive solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of system upgrades and enhancements
  • Contributes to the achievement of strategic goals through the implementation of application support programs to improve business performance
  • Manages and co-ordinates complex application support processes
  • Advises on application security, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery needs
  • Prioritizes, investigates and diagnoses incidents and problems
  • Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures and contributes to the development of strategies, policies, standards, procedures and tools
  • Takes technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of software development
  • Provides specialist, expert advice on the adoption of appropriate tools, techniques and processes to create a robust integration framework
  • Plans and agrees on the scope of configuration management processes and the configuration items
  • Leads the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages including assessment of risk
  • Manages and monitors application and compliance of security administration procedures
  • Manages the evaluation of new system software and updates
  • Collaborates with developers and engineers to design, build, and maintain applications
