In this role, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated platform team and partner with developers, architects and ICT colleagues. You will contribute to building resilient platforms that support critical digital systems across the organisation and strengthen application reliability across the energy market.
Job Responsibility:
Design, implement and evolve changes to the core application platforms, including Windows Server and AKS environments
Maintain and document software components forming the application platforms, including operating procedures and support guidelines
Guide developers and application architects during solution design and assist their deployment journey through to production
Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring continuity and performance of deployed applications
Coach and support colleagues on platform technologies to promote knowledge sharing and team development
Suggest platform enhancements to improve reliability, security and efficiency
Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation (1 week in every 4, when requested)
Work actively with both traditional IT technologies and cloud-native solutions to bridge legacy and modern application ecosystems
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role focused on managing complex application platforms
Deep knowledge of cloud-native workload management, Kubernetes clusters and associated tooling (e.g. Istio, Keda, Harbor)
Working experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD (Azure DevOps) is essential
Hands-on scripting capabilities (e.g. PowerShell, Azure CLI) and familiarity with public cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a regulated, multi-stakeholder environment
Ability to follow conversations in both Dutch and French and strong fluency in English
Curiosity, analytical thinking and a proactive attitude toward improvement
