Job Description:

The primary role of Database Management function is to design, implement and maintain Oracle Database Server and E-Business Suite Technologies environments as primary. The role will expand to managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and technical aspects of Oracle Cloud FUSION. Key deliverables include providing support to application DBA tasks such as application cloning, patching, database migration/upgrades, technical solutions, performance tuning. Monitoring all Oracle production database backups globally, ensuring the platform is secured. Troubleshooting technical Oracle Applications and database issues.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure Resmed’s Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1 systems and Oracle databases are running efficiently incorporating event monitoring for space, fault and general resource management
  • Ensure Resmed’s non Oracle Applications Environments are running efficiently
  • Perform Cloning Oracle Applications environment
  • Perform Oracle Applications Patching (ADPATCH UTILITY)
  • Participate in the 24*7*365 support roster
  • Understand and troubleshoot workflow and Advanced Queuing
  • Provide analysis of issues and determine diagnosis for Oracle Applications/Oracle RDBMS/UNIX problems
  • Troubleshoot technical Oracle Applications and database issues as they arise given their priority using Service-Now to capture solutions
  • Monitor all Oracle production database backups globally
  • Ability to perform database health check
  • Ability to perform database and SQL tuning
  • Provide guidance to junior DBA
  • Continue to look for alternative to improve the database management process
  • Work with Global Team to ensure issues are tracked and worked on as required
  • Provide DBA support in local projects as required
  • Ensure procedures and policies are documented and stored in a central repository
  • Maintain compliance with Resmed Information Security Policies and Standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Oracle Administration, in Unix/Linux platform
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an Oracle Apps DBA capacity is highly preferred
  • Experiences in Oracle databases and EBS
  • Experience in Oracle Cloud is added advantage
  • Applies functional knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems or execute specialized projects
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Oracle Cloud is added advantage
  • Understanding of oracle’s patching standards (eg Maintenance pack, Family Pack, patch set) is an added advantage
