Job Description

Bentley is creating an open platform for the built and natural environment to empower software developers to build digital twin experiences. We believe in advancing the platform for the collective success of the ecosystem and equipping the software developer community with open source and open standards. Our work has a broad reach, ranging from the world’s largest construction companies to the US government to FOX Sports on NFL SUNDAY. Cesium has over 10,000,000 lifetime open-source downloads, and the Cesium ion cloud reaches over 20,000 monthly active developers. We’re looking for a Senior API Product Manager to support the adoption of the iTwin Platform by first-party products, drive the strategy and roadmap aligned to serving their needs, and with an eye on future community adoption via Cesium channels. This role will specifically focus on iTwin Platform APIs, developer experience, and platform-to-platform integrations.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a part of iTwin Platform, aligned to supporting first-party platforms adoption
  • Be at the intersection of technology, people, and business - coordinating product strategy, integrations, development, and business relationships
  • Work with engineering to design, develop, and launch secure, scalable APIs
  • Organize and derive market trends from internal and external research, customer feedback, and broad market input to improve the iTwin Platform APIs, lower the barrier to entry, reduce friction, and improve developer experience
  • Facilitate alignment for a diverging set of inputs and people to converge on strong, bought-in decisions that benefit the broader community as a whole
  • Coordinate with first- and third-party customers to create joint opportunities that help grow the ecosystem and business

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience working on highly technical software projects in developer platforms or infrastructure software
  • Strong experience collaborating with and delivering cloud APIs for developers
  • Ability to combine the iTwin Platform’s overall product strategy, key customer input, and broad market and community feedback with a detailed, executable product plan
  • You obsess over priorities, creating impact, and constantly test them against strategy and goals
  • You are great at analyzing user and customer data, business intelligence, and usage analytics for our products, and producing useful insights to improve products and features
  • Fantastic communication skills and interpersonal savvy
  • You are likely to have a technical education, such as an undergrad degree in computer science, or you have equivalent proven work experience
  • This role will require occasional travel and time zone management as part of a global team
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements)
