Job Description

We are seeking an experienced API Integration and Automation professional to join our TelcoIT function within the UK Edge project. This role focuses on designing and executing automated API testing frameworks using Python, PyTest, Playwright and BDD methodologies. The individual will contribute across the software development lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure adoption of best practices to improve efficiency, performance, and reliability of systems. The position is based in Pune, Bangalore, or Ahmedabad and operates as a permanent role.

Job Responsibility

  • Contribute to the execution of the software development lifecycle, including development of assigned tasks
  • Design, develop and maintain API automation frameworks using Python, PyTest, Playwright and BDD
  • Perform API testing and ensure quality and performance of integrations
  • Actively participate as a member of internal and external project teams, representing the Technology Department
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement efficient and scalable automation solutions
  • Leverage AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch) and MongoDB in testing and integration scenarios
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO) for streamlined delivery
  • Monitor industry trends to adopt best practices and enhance effectiveness
  • Conduct debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of applications
  • Ensure adherence to cloud security principles, IAM roles, and data protection standards

Requirements

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in API integration and automation
  • Strong expertise in Python programming, with hands-on experience in PyTest, Playwright and BDD frameworks
  • Experience with API testing tools and methodologies
  • Proficiency in AWS services and working knowledge of MongoDB
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Understanding of cloud security, IAM roles, and data protection practices
